System requirements

Operating system: Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit)
Graphics card: A GPU that supports Vulkan 1.3 — REQUIRED. The application will not start without it.
GPU capabilities: Compute, transfer, sparse binding and present queues; at least 16384 px texture size
Video memory (VRAM): No fixed minimum — streaming budgets adapt to the card. More VRAM means smoother navigation
Memory (RAM): 8 GB recommended
Disk: ~150 MB installed, plus cache space for the data you open

Computation and analysis

Volumes: Cut/fill against real terrain, a flat level or a reference surface; stockpile volume and tonnage
Cross-sections: Sections at a station interval, cubature table, DXF section drawings
Surface analysis: Slope, aspect, hillshade, contour generation
Visibility: Viewshed and line of sight between two points
Water: Flow direction, flow accumulation, stream network, watershed delineation
Sun: Sunlight hours including topographic shadow
Change: Deposition/erosion between two surveys, volume ± uncertainty, level of detection (LoD)
Measurement: Distance, area, elevation and height difference — following the terrain surface

How it runs

Data privacy: Everything runs on your computer. Your data is never uploaded to a server
Large data: Out-of-core streaming: only the area you are viewing loads at full resolution
Rendering: Vulkan compute raycaster, 2D and 3D at full resolution
Coordinate systems: Reads each layer's embedded CRS; projected and geographic systems

Vulkan 1.3 support depends on your DRIVER version more than on the card model. If the application does not start, the first thing to try is updating your GPU driver from the vendor (NVIDIA / AMD / Intel).

Laptops carry two graphics cards: a low-power integrated one and a high performance discrete one. STREAM selects the discrete card itself on every start and sets the Windows per-application graphics preference to "High performance" — you do not need to configure anything. Seeing something like "Auto-select: Integrated" in the NVIDIA or AMD control panel does not mean something is wrong; that window shows the vendor's own profile, not the card STREAM selected. The card actually in use is shown inside the application under Help ▸ Performance Diagnostics.
